Switch Mobility, part of the Hinduja Group, has completed the delivery of 100 electric buses to Mauritius, representing India's largest export of electric buses. This initiative is part of a government-to-government arrangement, with the buses donated by the Government of India to promote clean mobility in Mauritius. The final batch of 90 buses was handed over by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to Mauritius' Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam. The buses, designed for efficient public transport, feature advanced engineering and technology, ensuring reliability and passenger comfort. They are operated by the National Transport Corporation of Mauritius and aim to support the country's modernization and sustainability goals in public transportation. Ganesh Mani, CEO of Switch Mobility, expressed pride in contributing to Mauritius' transition to electric mobility, highlighting the environmental benefits and improved commuter experience. This export aligns with broader efforts to reduce emissions and enhance public transit efficiency in Mauritius, marking a significant milestone for Switch Mobility's global expansion strategy.
