The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has arrested two associates of the Hashim Baba gang in separate operations. Shadab Ahmad, also known as Shadab Chappal, was apprehended on April 11, 2024, in northeast Delhi after being on the run for two years. He is a listed shooter wanted in connection with a murder case from 2024, where he shot a rival gang member, Arbaz, during an altercation. A loaded semi-automatic pistol and five live cartridges were found in his possession. Additionally, Mohammad Adi, also known as Adil, was arrested on April 3, 2024, for allegedly identifying targets for extortion on behalf of jailed gang leaders. He was found with a loaded pistol and six cartridges. Both arrests are part of a broader investigation into the criminal activities of the Hashim Baba gang.
