On Saturday, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor expressed his appreciation for the support he received after an attack on his gunman and driver in Wandoor, Malappuram district, Kerala. The incident took place on Friday evening around 7:30 PM when a five-member group allegedly obstructed Tharoor's vehicle on the Chelithode bridge. As Tharoor's gunman, Ratheesh K P, attempted to clear the obstruction, he and the driver were attacked. The Wandoor police reported that one individual has been taken into custody, while others involved have been identified and are being sought. Tharoor took to social media platform X to thank his friends and well-wishers, stating, 'He is well and I was untouched. We carried on undaunted yesterday and concluded two more events as planned.' Despite the attack, Tharoor's campaign activities remained uninterrupted.
