Gable Steveson, the U.S. Olympic gold medalist wrestler, has signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as announced during the UFC 327 event in Miami. Steveson, who is regarded as one of the top prospects in mixed martial arts, is set to make his promotional debut at the UFC's International Fight Week in July 2024 in Las Vegas. At just 25 years old, he holds an undefeated record of 3-0 in MMA, with all his victories coming in the first round by knockout. Steveson is a two-time NCAA Division I national champion from the University of Minnesota and gained fame for his dramatic Olympic victory in Tokyo, where he overcame an 8-5 deficit in the final seconds to defeat Georgia's Geno Petriashvili. He currently trains alongside MMA superstar Jon Jones, although Jones's future in the UFC remains uncertain after not being booked for a fight at the White House card on June 14.
