A 20-year-old woman was violently assaulted in the Varthur area of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, after she confronted a group of individuals about stalking her. The incident occurred around midnight on April 3, when the accused, who were known to the victim and are also migrant laborers, attacked her at her residence. The woman had been experiencing harassment for several days, with the group following her and demanding her phone number. After she warned them to stop, they retaliated by dragging her outside and physically assaulting her. The woman reported that she was threatened with death even after filing a police complaint. Authorities have arrested five suspects, including three women identified as Sukshapar Khatun, Seema, and Asura Khatun, while three others remain at large. A case has been registered at the Varthur Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing.
