In a recent meeting, the management committee of the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, decided to restrict the presence of private security personnel accompanying VIP visitors. This decision, led by Ashok Kumar (former judge), aims to curb arbitrary movement within the temple premises. New regulations will be developed to enhance security and streamline temple operations. Additionally, the committee addressed various issues, including the removal of encroachments, expediting registration for commercial establishments related to the temple corridor project, and ensuring the integrity of food items sold around the temple. Officials from the food safety department were directed to conduct continuous raids to combat food adulteration, particularly concerning 'pedas' sold as 'prasad.' Furthermore, traffic congestion caused by e-rickshaws in narrow lanes will be tackled with stricter enforcement measures. The committee also emphasized improving amenities for devotees during festivals and upgrading CCTV systems within the temple complex.
