Chess is set to make its debut in the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026, following its introduction at the Esports World Cup in 2025. The ENC, a global nation-based esports competition, will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 29, 2026. The tournament features 16 games, including popular titles such as Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, and is expected to attract over 100,000 players competing in qualification events across 100 markets. The ENC aims to bring structure to international esports and develop talent pipelines for countries. With a backing of $45 million, the tournament includes a $20 million prize pool, ensuring equal recognition for all players. The first-place team will receive $50,000 per player, while second and third places will earn $30,000 and $15,000, respectively. NODWIN Gaming has been appointed as India's National Team Partner to manage qualifiers and team selection, further enhancing the nation's presence in the esports ecosystem.
