Amazon has made a strategic move by acquiring satellite operator Globalstar for an estimated $11.6 billion. This acquisition is part of Amazon's broader strategy to enhance its Amazon Leo satellite network and compete with SpaceX's Starlink. As part of the deal, Amazon has entered into an agreement with Apple to provide satellite connectivity for current and future iPhone and Apple Watch models.
