Sarma highlighted that this election is unique, with no insurgency issues affecting the campaign, contributing to a peaceful electoral environment. He has chosen not to campaign in 25 constituencies where 'Miya Muslims', a term for Bengali-speaking Muslims, are the majority, indicating a strategy focused on indigenous Muslim voters instead. Additionally, he asserted that a strong nationalist feeling is emerging among immigrant Muslims, suggesting they will not align with opposition figures like Asaduddin Owaisi, who has campaigned for the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) in Assam. Sarma also mentioned the government's initiatives, including the proposed Uniform Civil Code and the successful Orunodoi scheme, which provides monthly financial assistance to women, as key factors in building support for the BJP.
