The Madhya Pradesh government is set to present 'Samrat Vikramaditya Mahanatya' in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, starting April 3. Chief Ministers Mohan Yadav and Yogi Adityanath will attend the opening. The play will showcase significant episodes from the life of emperor Vikramaditya, drawing from traditional narratives like Singhasan Battisi and Betal Pachisi. Over 200 artists will participate, with a stage featuring three sections and elaborate designs including 18 horses, two chariots, and an elephant. The venue will accommodate between 10,000 to 15,000 spectators and will incorporate advanced technology such as projection graphics and a large LED screen. Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav will present a Vikramaditya Vedic clock to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, marking the first in a series of offerings linked to Jyotirlinga shrines. This clock represents Indian time-reckoning traditions and includes a mobile application available in over 180 languages, providing various astrological and weather information.
