Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma described the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi's wife, Elizabeth Colburn, and Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh as 'explosive.' The 96-page report is expected to reveal the roles of individuals allegedly involved in activities against India's interests, including a Pakistani national and the British wife of a politician. Sarma stated that the Assam Cabinet will review the report before it is made public. The SIT was established on February 17 to investigate Sheikh's alleged anti-India activities. Sarma has accused Gogoi's wife of having connections with the Pakistan Army, claiming she has traveled to Pakistan multiple times, often accompanied by military officials. In response, Gogoi dismissed the allegations as politically motivated, likening them to a poorly scripted film, and criticized Sarma for involving his family in political disputes.
