Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has called for immediate relief measures for farmers whose crops have been damaged by unseasonal rain, hailstorms, and fires. During a high-level meeting, he instructed district magistrates to ensure that assistance is provided promptly and transparently. He emphasized the need for establishing relief camps and coordinating efforts among revenue, agriculture, and other relevant departments. Adityanath highlighted the importance of a swift survey of crop loss and compensation payments, urging officials to report back to the government without delay. He also directed revenue department officials to release adequate funds from the State Disaster Relief Fund and ensure that farmers benefit from insurance schemes. Additionally, he stressed that families whose homes have been damaged should receive priority housing under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister warned that any negligence in the relief and rehabilitation process would not be tolerated, and accountability would be enforced.
