On Sunday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled development projects worth ₹253 crore in Jind, aimed at improving irrigation, roads, health services, and water supply. The chief minister laid foundation stones for 12 projects totaling over ₹140 crore and inaugurated three projects costing more than ₹112 crore. Notable inaugurations include the reconstruction of Jind Distributary No 4, completed by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department for ₹16.28 crore, and modern micro-irrigation systems in local villages. Additionally, the chief minister dedicated the Dr B R Ambedkar Library at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, built for ₹56.36 crore. Other projects include a purchase center in Manoharpur village and residential units for revenue officers, enhancing local infrastructure across agriculture, housing, and health sectors. The initiatives also focus on improving drainage and water supply systems, benefiting several villages in the region.
