India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) announced a relaxation in rice export regulations, stating that the requirement for a certificate of inspection from the Export Inspection Council (EIC) or Export Inspection Agencies (EIAs) will now apply only to the European Union, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Exports to other European countries will be exempt from this requirement for the next six months. Additionally, the DGFT has revised policies for exporting feathers, skins, and other animal parts to comply with European regulations, which may include issuing Veterinary Health Certificates as required by importing countries. In a separate notification, the DGFT extended the $1,400 per tonne minimum export price for natural honey for an additional nine months until December. The agency also introduced a detailed procedure for importing calcined petroleum coke for the aluminium industry, with allocations based on recommendations from an Exim facilitation committee.
