Chandrasekhar challenged Congress to present evidence to the police or the Election Commission of India, questioning the validity of their accusations. The allegations stem from a complaint filed by Congress leader KS Sabarinathan, who claims that Chandrasekhar failed to disclose assets valued at ₹200 crore (approximately $24 million USD). The upcoming Kerala Legislative Assembly elections, scheduled for April 9, 2026, will see the BJP aiming to strengthen its position following a recent victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation polls. Chandrasekhar anticipates a political shift, predicting that future elections will feature only the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and a formal alliance between Congress and the Left Democratic Front (LDF).
