The Gautam Budh Nagar police commissionerate has achieved the top rank among all commissionerates in Uttar Pradesh, as reported in the chief minister’s ‘Darpan’ dashboard for March 2026. This significant improvement is attributed to enhanced emergency response times, efficient complaint disposal, and effective handling of crime cases. The commissionerate also secured the second position in the state for crime control, grievance redressal, and service delivery. Key performance indicators included the response time of Dial 112 police response vehicles, the resolution of complaints via platforms like the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and women’s helpline 1090, as well as actions taken against crimes, particularly those involving women and marginalized communities such as Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh emphasized that this ranking is a result of consistent monitoring and targeted actions to reduce pendency and improve citizen services. The review also monitored actions under various laws, including the Gangster Act and NDPS Act, alongside progress in investigations and arrests. The Gautam Budh Nagar police aim to continue strengthening their coordination with the community to ensure a safer environment.
