Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), the largest car manufacturer in Britain, reported a 61.1% increase in fourth-quarter sales, recovering from production disruptions caused by a cyber attack last year. The company sold 95,300 units to dealers from January to March, reflecting a significant increase from the previous quarter but a 14.5% decline compared to the same period last year. The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models were particularly strong, comprising 77.1% of total sales in Q4, up from 66.3% the previous year. However, JLR's full-year sales were adversely affected by factors such as U.S. tariffs and production halts due to the cyber incident, leading to a 23.2% drop in sales to dealers. Retail sales, including JLR's joint venture in China with Chery, rose 16.2% sequentially but were down 14.3% year-on-year, with overall retail sales declining by 17.8% for the year ending March 31.
