On April 4, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode celebrated its 28th annual convocation, where 1,432 students received degrees across eight academic programs. The event, held on the campus in Kozhikode, was attended by T V Narendran, the CEO and managing director of Tata Steel, as the chief guest. The ceremony recognized the achievements of students from management and doctoral courses, with 1,395 MBA degrees conferred. Notably, the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) saw 488 graduates, while specialized programs, including the PGP in Business Leadership and PGP in Finance, also celebrated their graduates. Additionally, 37 doctoral degrees were awarded, including 22 from the regular Doctoral Programme in Management. During the ceremony, 14 students were honored with gold medals for their academic performance, with Prachi Bangia achieving the top position in the flagship PGP batch. The director, Debashis Chatterjee, highlighted the academic advancements and performance of the institute over the past year. The convocation concluded with the formal awarding of degrees, marking a significant milestone for the graduating class as they transition into various professional sectors.
