In a tragic incident in Washermenpet, Chennai, 29-year-old Imran, identified as a 'C' category rowdy involved in multiple criminal cases, died following an assault during a funeral procession. The altercation began when Imran, who was playing drums at the funeral of a relative at Moolakothalam burial ground, got into a heated argument with Kader Basha from Sathyamurthy Nagar. The dispute escalated when Kader struck Imran in the chest, causing him to experience severe chest pain. After returning home in an autorickshaw, Imran's condition deteriorated, prompting his family to call for an ambulance. He was taken to Govt Stanley Hospital, where he was declared dead. Authorities have since arrested Kader Basha and another individual present during the incident.
