In a recent video, Army ROTC cadets from Old Dominion University (ODU) recounted their brave actions during a shooting incident involving Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a former Army National Guard member with ties to ISIS. The attack occurred in Constant Hall, where Jalloh opened fire after entering the classroom and shouting 'Allahu Akbar.' Cadet Louis Ancheta, armed with a pocketknife, charged at Jalloh, who was shooting at their instructor, Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah. Despite being injured by stray gunfire, Ancheta and other cadets managed to subdue Jalloh. Shah, however, was shot and later died from his injuries. Cadets Wesley Myers and Jeremy Rawlinson also played crucial roles in disarming Jalloh, with both receiving Meritorious Service Medals for their actions. Jalloh had previously served time for attempting to aid ISIS and had expressed intentions to commit violence inspired by past domestic terrorism incidents. The cadets emphasized Shah's heroism, stating he saved lives by confronting the gunman.
