The Orion spacecraft, part of NASA's Artemis II mission, is currently on a 10-day journey towards the Moon, with mission progress reported as very successful. However, the spacecraft has faced some minor issues with its onboard toilet system. Initially, the toilet pump failed to operate due to insufficient water for priming, but this was quickly resolved. A more recent challenge occurred when urine collected in the tank froze, preventing proper venting into space. To mitigate this, flight controllers adjusted the spacecraft's orientation to maximize sunlight exposure on the tank, which provided some relief but did not fully resolve the issue. As a temporary solution, astronauts are currently using bags for urine collection until the problem can be completely fixed.
