The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main serves as a gateway for students seeking admission to various engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other technical institutions in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key for JEE Main 2026 on April 11, enabling students to calculate their raw scores. The All India Rank (AIR) will be published alongside the results. The top 10 NITs in India, according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, are: 1) National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (ranked 9th, Tamil Nadu), 2) National Institute of Technology Rourkela (ranked 13th, Odisha), 3) National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (ranked 17th, Karnataka), 4) National Institute of Technology Calicut (ranked 21st, Kerala), 5) National Institute of Technology Warangal (ranked 28th, Telangana), 6) Malaviya National Institute of Technology (ranked 42nd, Rajasthan), 7) Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (ranked 44th, Maharashtra), 8) National Institute of Technology Durgapur (ranked 49th, West Bengal), 9) National Institute of Technology Silchar (ranked 50th, Assam), and 10) National Institute of Technology Patna (Bihar). Students must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in JEE Main to be eligible for the JoSAA counselling process, which selects students based on their ranks.
