In a tragic incident late Saturday night, two individuals lost their lives and another was injured when their pickup truck veered off the road and plunged into a gorge near Chhid Chowk in Bandla, Palampur, located in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. The deceased, both local residents, were found in the vehicle and were rushed to the Community Health Centre, where they were declared dead upon arrival. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. In a separate incident, a 21-year-old tourist from Rajasthan named Deepanshu Jaagid was killed, and another tourist, Kabir Saini from Haryana, was injured after their motorcycle skidded off the road near Sudher village in Dharamshala. The duo was traveling from Dharamshala to Kareri village when the mishap occurred. Deepanshu succumbed to his injuries at Zonal Hospital, while Kabir is reported to be out of danger. An FIR has been filed at Police Station Dharamshala, and the deceased's body will be handed over to the family following a post-mortem examination.
