MK Stalin (Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu) is optimistic about the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led Secular Progressive Alliance winning the upcoming elections on April 23. In a letter to party members, he highlighted the strong support from the public, particularly women and minority communities, as crucial for their success. Stalin noted that DMK supporters are actively campaigning at the booth level throughout Tamil Nadu and urged party members to stay connected with the people in the days leading up to the election. He mentioned the dedication of both young and senior party members, including notable figures like K Veeramani and P Chidambaram, who are emphasizing the importance of the Dravidian model of governance. The DMK is working to overcome anti-incumbency sentiments against their main rival, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led coalition, as well as contend with new entrants like actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which is participating in the elections for the first time.
