On Friday afternoon, an unidentified woman posing as a domestic worker stole a gold chain worth around ₹70,000 from a resident in Amrapali Golf Homes, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The incident took place around 3:30 PM while the victim, a woman in her 50s, was at home with her infant grandchild. According to police reports, the suspect deceived the victim into allowing her entry into the flat. After stealing the chain from the victim's neck, the woman searched the house for other valuables but found nothing else. Following a complaint from the victim's son, the police filed a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 303(2) (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Bisrakh police station. Krishan Gopal Sharma, the Station House Officer (SHO) at Bisrakh police station, stated that the family had been looking for domestic help, which the suspect exploited to gain access. The police are currently examining CCTV footage from the residential society and surrounding areas to track the suspect's movements.
