During a rally in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched a strong attack on Opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami, accusing him of building his campaign on lies and misinformation. Stalin claimed that Palaniswami's falsehoods could fill books, emphasizing the extent of the deception. He pointed out that while the Union government creates financial challenges for Tamil Nadu, the DMK government has successfully implemented various welfare schemes, including a pension initiative. Stalin criticized Palaniswami for targeting him instead of holding the BJP-led Union government accountable, suggesting that Palaniswami had betrayed the legacy of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa by aligning with the BJP. Furthermore, Stalin dismissed Palaniswami's allegations regarding DMK members profiting from a coupon distribution scheme, stating that such claims are illogical since coupons are being distributed instead of cash.
