Stefanik pointed to a significant congressional hearing where she questioned university presidents from Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) about their responses to calls for violence against Jews. Their ambiguous answers, she claims, exposed a troubling moral decline in these institutions. She emphasizes the need for reforms to ensure that higher education aligns with American values, referencing actions taken during the Trump administration to address these issues. The book, which Stefanik has been working on for three years, aims to shed light on the governance of these universities, including the influence of political appointees, particularly from the Obama administration, in their decision-making processes.
