In Haridwar, Uttarakhand, an archery coach has been booked for allegedly raping a 14-year-old student. The complaint was filed by the victim's father, who reported that the coach, a native of Haryana, raped his daughter in October of the previous year and subsequently threatened her life if she disclosed the incident. The victim, fearing for her safety, remained silent for several months before finally confiding in her family. Following this, her father took her to the Kankhal police station, where they lodged a formal complaint. Kankhal police station officer Devendra Singh Rawat confirmed that the victim's statement has been recorded and a medical examination conducted. The police are investigating the case thoroughly, particularly given the involvement of a prestigious school, and the accused is expected to be arrested soon.
