Jordan's Furniture, a prominent furniture retailer in New England, has launched an exciting promotion that could see it refund up to $50 million to customers if both the University of Connecticut (UConn) men's and women's basketball teams reach the NCAA championship games. This offer applies to approximately 20,000 customers who made purchases from January 20 to February 16, 2023. The idea for this promotion came from Eliot Tatelman, the retired president of Jordan's, who wanted to enhance the company's presence in Connecticut. Tatelman previously ran a similar campaign in 2007 when the Boston Red Sox won the World Series, resulting in more than 24,000 customers receiving around $35 million in refunds. The UConn women's team, currently undefeated and seeded No. 1, is set to compete against South Carolina, while the men's team, seeded No. 2, will face Illinois. Customers like Brian Mazzilli from Plymouth, Massachusetts, are now eagerly following the teams, hoping for a chance at significant refunds on their purchases.
