In a shocking incident in Mohali, Punjab, Karanveer Singh Gosal, the director of Kundan Lights Gold Jewellery Workshop, was attacked by three armed robbers early Wednesday morning. The assailants forcibly entered the workshop located at Plot No 19, Phase 8B, around 3:30 am. They assaulted Gosal with sharp-edged weapons and iron rods, leaving him critically injured. The robbers demanded the keys to the safe, and when Gosal resisted, they stole his mobile phone and wallet, which contained important identification cards. They managed to steal approximately 500 silver ornaments, imitation jewellery, and the DVR of the CCTV cameras, likely to destroy evidence. The stolen items were packed into a black bag before the robbers fled the scene. Gosal was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. A case has been registered, and police are actively investigating the incident by scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits.
