The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has prepared a review report on its clean air action plan, which will be submitted to the Commission for Air Quality and Management. The report highlights that congestion has decreased at four of the 39 identified traffic hotspots, and the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has conducted 150 inspections of diesel generator sets. Additionally, 35 km of roads have been resurfaced, and plans for 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are in progress. The HSPCB is also proposing to install five new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQMS) units by December. Despite these measures, Gurugram's air quality remains poor, with an average AQI of 260 recorded from January to March, significantly above the target of 178 for 2026.
