The Maharashtra government has announced a significant waiver on the royalty for minor minerals excavated during construction, provided these materials are utilized at the same site. This decision, made during a meeting with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), aims to alleviate financial burdens on developers and enhance the efficiency of construction projects. Additionally, the state plans to launch an online non-agricultural (NA) permission process within 10 days, which is expected to streamline approvals and reduce delays in housing projects. The revenue department is also considering implementing a digital tracking system, similar to the successful model used in Pune district, to increase transparency across the state. Furthermore, the minister has committed to ensuring that registered documents are promptly updated in property card records, addressing ongoing concerns regarding municipal documentation.
