The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the results for the Class 8 exams for the academic session 2025-26, achieving an impressive overall pass percentage of 96.51%. Tamanna, a student from Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Jaito, Faridkot, secured the top position with a perfect score of 600 out of 600 marks. The second position was taken by Japneet Kaur from Government Middle School, Arkawas in Sangrur, with 598 marks (99.67%), while Jashandeep Kaur from Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School in Kot Sukhia, Faridkot, also scored 598 marks but was ranked third due to age criteria. This year, 2,62,966 students from 10,422 schools participated in the examination, with 2,53,789 students being promoted. PSEB chairman Amarpal Singh emphasized the strictness and transparency maintained during the examinations. Students who did not pass will have another opportunity to take supplementary exams scheduled for June 2026, with further details to be provided through school logins and newspapers.
