On Thursday, a group of 11 to 12 unidentified robbers in Palwal, Haryana, India, executed a daring heist by posing as officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). The robbers targeted two employees of a bullion trader, Vikas Jain, who were traveling on National Highway 19 with ₹31 lakh (approximately $37,000 USD) in cash and 350 grams of gold worth ₹48 lakh (around $58,000 USD). The suspects intercepted the victims' vehicle using three cars, including a Hyundai Creta and a Maruti Ertiga, blocking their path. They forced the victims to show their valuables, confiscated the cash and gold, and took away their phones and car keys. One employee was released several kilometers away, leading to confusion as information was delayed. An FIR has been filed at the City Palwal police station, and police have obtained CCTV footage of the suspects' vehicles. Multiple crime branch teams are conducting raids across the Delhi-NCR region to apprehend the culprits.
