Vignesh Shivan, the husband of actress Nayanthara, has opened up about his emotional regret regarding his strained relationship with actor Dhanush. The rift, which became public in 2024, originated from a legal dispute involving a three-second clip from the film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' used in Nayanthara's wedding documentary, 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale'. Vignesh described Dhanush as a significant figure in his life, noting that both share a birthday, July 28, which also marks the anniversary of his father's death. He reflected on their close bond during the filming of 'Velaiilla Pattadhari' (VIP), expressing guilt over their current estrangement. Despite this emotional turmoil, Vignesh is directing a new sci-fi romantic comedy titled 'Love Insurance Kompany', which is set to release on April 10 and features actors Pradeep Ranganathan and SJ Suryah.
