In the upcoming film 'Ramayana', director Nitesh Tiwari seeks to portray Ravana, played by Yash, as a multifaceted character rather than a one-dimensional villain. Tiwari emphasized that Ravana was a benevolent king, a great warrior, an accomplished musician, and a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. During a recent teaser launch in Los Angeles, Tiwari explained that while Ravana had many admirable qualities, his downfall was driven by vengeance and ego. Ranbir Kapoor, who stars in the film, also commended Yash's unique interpretation of Ravana, suggesting it would resonate with audiences. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. 'Ramayana: Part 1' is scheduled for a global release during Diwali 2026, with a second part expected in Diwali 2027.
