VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to launch its MPV 7 in India on April 15, 2024. Bookings are currently open for a token amount of ₹21,000 (approximately $250 USD). This electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is designed for individual consumers, distinguishing itself from the VinFast Limo Green, which is aimed at commercial use. The MPV 7 measures 4740 mm in length, 1872 mm in width, and 1734 mm in height, and features premium amenities such as leatherette seating, keyless entry, and a 10.1-inch infotainment display. It is powered by a 60.1 kWh battery that delivers 150 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. The vehicle is positioned to compete with established models like the Kia Carens and BYD eMAX 7, with a starting price expected around ₹19.90 lakh (roughly $24,000 USD). VinFast aims to expand its presence in India's electric vehicle market, currently operating 51 showrooms and planning to increase this to 75 by the end of the year.
