Swami pointed out the inconsistency of the corporation's actions, noting that similar tributes were not offered for local tragedies, such as the Pahalgam attack. He also criticized the human rights situation in Iran under Khamenei's regime, particularly regarding women's rights, and urged elected representatives to be cautious about whom they choose to honor. Furthermore, he condemned the inaction of BJP councillors during the meeting and called for legal repercussions against those who supported the resolution, insisting that discussions in civic bodies should concentrate on local issues.
