On Thursday, six schools in Patiala and three in Moga, both located in Punjab, India, received bomb threat emails. In response, bomb disposal squads, dog units, and police teams were deployed to conduct thorough searches of the school premises. Authorities reported that no suspicious objects were found during the checks. As a precaution, some schools evacuated students and advised parents to pick them up. SP (City) Palwinder Cheema confirmed that comprehensive checks were carried out immediately after the threats were received. This incident is part of a troubling trend, as similar bomb threats have been reported in recent weeks across Punjab and Haryana, many of which turned out to be hoaxes. A few days prior, several schools in Chandigarh also faced similar threats without any findings of suspicious activity.
