A tragic incident occurred in Azadpur, North Delhi, where a 19-year-old man named Akash, a resident of Sahipur village in Shalimar Bagh, was killed after being struck by a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus around 5:30 PM on Sunday. The bus driver fled the scene following the accident. Upon arrival, police found Akash critically injured, and he was declared dead at the scene. The police have initiated a case for causing death by negligence and are currently investigating the incident. They are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the bus and its driver, and to understand whether overspeeding or negligence contributed to the fatal accident. The victim's family has been notified, and the body has been sent to the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial (BJRM) Hospital for post-mortem examination.
