The highly anticipated romantic action film *Dacoit*, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, was released on Friday and achieved a worldwide gross of ₹13.57 crore on its opening day. In India, the film collected a net of ₹6.5 crore, with a total gross of ₹7.57 crore. The overseas collections contributed ₹6 crore. The Telugu version led the box office with ₹5.6 crore, while the Hindi version lagged behind at ₹90 lakh despite more screenings. The film was shown across 3,800 shows in India, achieving an overall occupancy of 26.4%. Notably, Hyderabad had the highest number of shows at 353 with an impressive occupancy of 60.3%. Compared to Adivi Sesh's previous films, *Dacoit* has performed better than *Major*, which grossed approximately ₹13.4 crore on its opening day, and *HIT 2*, which earned ₹6.4 crore. However, it still trails behind several recent Telugu blockbusters. The weekend performance will be critical for determining the film's future box office success.
