Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called for the effective implementation of the state's long-term vision during a meeting of the Vision Management Governing Council in Mumbai. He stated that the years 2026 to 2030 are pivotal for Maharashtra to become a leader in per capita income. Fadnavis urged all departments to establish measurable targets as part of the 'Viksit Maharashtra 2047' initiative, emphasizing that without a strong implementation strategy, the vision would remain theoretical. He highlighted the need for a shift from the traditional approach to maximize funding from central schemes and encouraged the development of a robust project pipeline. Fadnavis also pointed out regional disparities, noting that while developed districts should leverage advanced technology, the 11 backward districts present significant growth opportunities. He instructed departments to finalize action plans by April 30 and to conduct periodic evaluations based on measurable indicators to ensure transparency and accountability.
