On Saturday, the Nashik district administration conducted a workshop focused on women's safety in the workplace, stressing the importance of establishing Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) as mandated by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act (PoSH). Shobha Pawar, a member of the Juvenile Justice Board, urged companies to set up ICCs and ensure their effective operation, highlighting the need for all employees, including men, to be informed about these committees for registering complaints. The workshop, organized in collaboration with the district women and child welfare department, followed a recent incident at a TCS-linked BPO in Nashik, prompting discussions on the PoSH Act's objectives and implementation.
