The controversy gained traction after a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) by advocate Ashutosh J Dubey, who shared an anonymous employee's concerns. In response, Tech Mahindra reiterated its commitment to maintaining an inclusive workplace free from discrimination. This incident unfolds against a backdrop of heightened scrutiny in the IT sector, particularly concerning Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which has faced serious allegations at its Nashik unit. TCS employees were instructed to work remotely due to accusations of sexual harassment and religious coercion, prompting a multi-agency investigation. Authorities have registered nine FIRs related to these allegations, leading to multiple arrests, including supervisory staff accused of misconduct.
