On Friday afternoon, a group of five armed men executed a meticulously planned robbery at a Bank of Maharashtra branch located on Vindhyanagar Road in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, India. The gang managed to steal ₹5 crore (approximately $600,000 USD) worth of gold and ₹20 lakh (around $24,000 USD) in cash in a mere 15 minutes. During the incident, the robbers fired a shot in the air to instill fear, resulting in minor injuries to a customer. Police reports indicate that two of the robbers entered the bank first, holding staff and customers at gunpoint, while three others joined shortly after to overpower the victims and access the cash counter and lockers. The entire robbery was captured on CCTV, and police have initiated a manhunt, setting up checkpoints throughout the district and analyzing footage to identify the suspects.
