Nepal has intervened to stop an unauthorized In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) consultation camp organized by two Indian doctors at a hotel in Kathmandu. The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) took action after discovering that the doctors had not obtained the necessary permissions to conduct the camp. According to Dr. Satis Kumar Deo, the Registrar of the NMC, foreign medical practitioners are required to register their degrees with the Council and seek approval before offering medical services in Nepal. The Indian doctors expressed regret in writing for their oversight and assured the NMC that they would not repeat such an error. As a result, the NMC decided not to impose any further penalties on them.
