In a significant development in a sexual exploitation case in Amravati district, Maharashtra, a 15-year-old girl from Nagpur has filed a formal complaint, becoming the first to do so. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule confirmed that the police have arrested eight individuals, including the prime accused, Ayan Ahmed Tanveer Ahmed, who is currently in police custody until April 21. The police launched an investigation after explicit video clips and photographs of minor girls surfaced on social media on April 11. Authorities have seized multiple electronic devices, including seven mobile phones, a laptop, and a tablet, which are now undergoing forensic examination. Bawankule has urged other survivors to come forward without fear, assuring them of confidentiality and government support. The state government is treating the incident with utmost seriousness, pledging to track down all individuals involved and implement strict measures against them.
