The No. 12 Florida State Seminoles softball team triumphed over the North Carolina Tar Heels with a 10-2 run-rule victory on Sunday at JoAnne Graf Field, completing a series sweep. The Seminoles now hold an impressive 39-7 overall record and 15-3 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. FSU took an early lead in the first inning and extended it significantly in the fourth with a six-run rally. Ashtyn Danley was a key player, going 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and 5 RBI, marking her second consecutive game with such a performance. She now has seven homers this season. The team recorded 13 hits, with six players achieving two hits each. Jazzy Francik earned the win, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing only one run, bringing her record to 17-2 with a 2.03 ERA. The game also marked senior night, with Madi Frey and Makenna Reid participating in the festivities.
