The Auburn Tigers football team has secured a commitment from four-star tight end Georgia Lamons Jr., who announced his decision during his visit for A-Day. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 213 pounds, Lamons chose Auburn over notable programs including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, and Florida State Seminoles. Previously committed to the Texas A&M Aggies, he reopened his recruitment last year, allowing Auburn to successfully recruit him. Lamons is currently ranked as the No. 244 overall player and No. 11 tight end in the 247Sports composite rankings, as well as the No. 27 player from Georgia. His commitment fills a gap in Auburn's 2027 recruiting class, which was created when Trae Proctor flipped to the Kentucky Wildcats. Lamons has visited Auburn multiple times this year, with plans for an official visit on June 12, while the coaching staff aims to cancel his other scheduled visits.
