The meteorological department has predicted that most parts of Rajasthan will experience dry weather and a rise in temperatures over the next three to four days, leading to potential heatwave conditions in some areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to increase by 1-2 degrees Celsius, with western Rajasthan possibly reaching between 41°C and 43°C, which is 3-4 degrees above normal. On Thursday, Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state at 42.9°C, followed closely by Jaisalmer at 42.8°C and Churu at 42.4°C. The department also noted that a weak western disturbance could bring light rainfall and thunderstorms to parts of the state on April 17, particularly affecting Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions.
